By creating a MeshChat account or using MeshChat (the "App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Who can use MeshChat
You must be at least 18 years old to use MeshChat. By using it you confirm that you are.
License
Moonstream Tech grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you send. You must not use MeshChat to:
- Create, share or request child sexual abuse material, or sexualise, groom or exploit minors in any way. We have zero tolerance for this — see our Child Safety Standards.
- Harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or incite violence or hatred against anyone.
- Send spam, scams, phishing or unsolicited bulk messages.
- Impersonate another person or organisation, or mislead others about who you are.
- Share someone's private information, or intimate images, without their consent.
- Share content that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Spread malware, or attack, overload or interfere with the network or other users' devices.
Reporting and blocking
You can block anyone, and report a user or a message from the chat menu (… → Şikayet et) or by e-mailing moonstreamtech@gmail.com. Because messages are end-to-end encrypted and MeshChat has no servers, we cannot read conversations or remove content from other people's devices; we rely on the information in your report. We review every report and, where the law requires or where a child may be at risk, we pass it to the competent authorities.
Your account and keys
Your account is a key pair stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your key file, recovery code and optional password safe. Moonstream Tech does not have them and cannot recover an account whose keys are lost.
Your content
You keep all rights to what you send. Messages and photos are deleted automatically 30 days after they are sent, and accounts not used for 90 days are deleted. The App is not a storage service; keep copies of anything important.
Restrictions
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where allowed by applicable law.
- Do not redistribute, sell or sublicense the App.
- Do not use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
No warranty
The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Delivery depends on other devices being online; messages may be delayed or not delivered, for example if no device can carry them within 30 days.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moonstream Tech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for content sent by other users, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Intellectual property
The App, including its name, design, code and visual assets, is the intellectual property of Moonstream Tech. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
Termination
You can stop using the App at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may terminate this license if you breach these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms when the App changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
